Self-Crochet

“Self-Crochet,” explores an innovative approach to the traditional crochet technique, removing the need for tools.

By utilizing finger crochet, I aim to simplify and make crochet accessible to younger generations, challenging common misconceptions. Unlike traditional crochet, which requires hooks and extensive time, finger crochet offers a user-friendly and faster alternative.

The customized sweater is an experiment in macro-shaping, combining round techniques and tailored measurements. Key features include yarn selection for lightness and finger size, working in the round for seamless construction, and creating a second-skin effect by shaping the garment directly on the body with the raw fiber.
